About The Artist

I am a visual artist based in Southern California and I have been creating artwork since 2018. I use a variety of markers, pens, and acrylic paint on canvas. I have labeled my art style as "Altered Kaleidoscope Art" because my drawings are unconventional for the traditional mandala style, yet can have the same ritualistic designs and trance effects. I am inspired by patterns found in kaleidoscopes, details and symmetry in nature, and the color connection to certain emotions. When it comes to picking a theme for my piece, I like to use colors that can correlate with emotions such as happiness, sadness, love, peace, or anger. What I cherish most about my artwork and style is that it can tell a story in an abstract way. I have had the opportunity to showcase my artwork in various fairs and galleries. I’ve displayed pieces at the Santa Clarita Arts Association Gallery, the Red Bluff Art Gallery and have participated in the Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival, the SCV Indoor Night Market, and Art Mart at the Open Book Library. My biggest hope is to spread more creativity wherever I go. 

A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various traditions, mandalas may be used as a spiritual guidance tool for establishing a sacred space, and as an aid to meditation or trance induction.
